Click on the links below for summer reading suggestions. Remember these are only suggestions, not lists of every book you should read before you’re ten. There will be no book reports or quizzes: summer reading should be fun! The lists include new titles and old favourites. You will not find every book in our library, so check out your nearest public library, local bookstore, or look on-line. Don’t forget that 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders can access Follett e-books over the summer with your username and password, and all students can view Tumblebooks and Bookflix with the log-in details available from the library, your teacher or through the community portal with help from your parents.
Here is a copy of the Summer Borrowing Permission Slip for you to download at home. Parents of PS, K1, K2 and G2 students need to accompany their children to the library for summer borrowing. G2-G5 students may choose their own as long as they bring in the permission slip signed by a parent.
